"Logins Run" insight of the future

Sometime in the 23rd century, the remnants of human civilization live in a sealed domed city, a utopia run by a computer that takes care of all aspects of their life, including reproduction. The citizens live a self gratifing  lifestyle but have been told that in order to maintain the city, every resident must undergo the ritual of "Carrousel" at the age of 30, where they are vaporized but with the promise of being "Renewed". To track this, the humans are implanted at birth with a Lifeclock crystal in the palm of their hand that changes colors as they approach their "Last Day". To maintain order, the computer has assigned several humans as Sandmen (policemen), who chase after and terminate Runners (those that try to leave the city in order to escape Carrousel).

I see this movie like the new movie "In Time" but they have a few different looks on things. They way people live in life in the two movies are very similar but also very different. The way they live in the movie "Logins Run" is by a crystal that was implanted into them at birth on their hand. Every person was to live up to the age of Thirty and no longer. The way in which they decide your time is up is when the red crsytal in your hand starts to flash you then have to go to Carrousel to be killed or in their words, to be renewd.

The difference about the two movies is how the people in the movies are choosen to die. The people in the movie "In Time" are choosen to die differently then in the movie "Logins Run". In the movie In Time the people are living by time and in this case time is money. The more money that you have the longer you have to live because you can buy your self more time. In Logins Run it doesnt matter how much money you have or who you are once that red crystal in your hand flashes red your done,. your time is up for you and if you dont allow your self to be killed they have a squad of people to come after you and kill you.

These two movies are basiclly showing us how we might end up living into the future. Living in a dystopian society. Having our lives cut short by made up laws that are meant to hold the population down. In all of our visions of the future it shows hows we are going to end up not living to the fullest but it also helps out alot and makes our lives count for every minute that we are living them.

A Fictional Future!

The story line Futurama is set in New New York at the turn of the 31st century, in a time filled with technological wonders. The city of New New York has been built over the ruins of present-day New York City, referred to as "Old New York." Various devices and architecture are similar to the present New York. Global warming, and substance abuse are a few of the subjects given a 31st-century exaggeration in a world where the problems have become both more extreme and more common. Just as New York has become a more extreme version of itself in the future, Futrurama shows us how a we need to find a way to not live in such a bad way meaning that all of this substance abuse and global warming issues has got to stop or else our future is going to look bad. Other Earth locations are given the same treatment, like Los Angeles being depicted as a smog filled apocalyptic wasteland.

Environmentally, common animals still remain, alongside mutated, cross-bred (sometimes with humans) and extraterrestrial animals. Owls are often shown to have replaced rats as common household pests. Although rats still exist, sometimes rats act like pigeons. Pigeons still exist, as well. Pine trees, anchovies and poodles have been extinct for 800 years. I found it funny how they choose to have those three things to be extinct. Why would they choose those threes things exact to have been extinct?

Earth is depicted as being multicultural to the extent that a wide range of human, robot, and extraterrestrial beings interact with the primary characters. In some ways the future is depicted as being more socially advanced than Fry's(the main character). However, it is often shown to have many of the same types of problems, challenges, mistakes, and prejudices as the present.

"In Time" A new way of life.

You might be 50, or 105, but you look 25, always. "In Time" is a new movie showing us a new way of living through lives of the people that actually live in that time. In the future, humans will be genetically engineered to live up to 25 years old. The wealthiest citizens, the ones who either "come from time," the way people used to come from money, or who have over came in this futuristic version of Darwinian capitalism — can re-up on their time clock, while others expire and die once they time clock reaches 00:00:00:00. In this future, time is the new currency, spent and borrowed like money. Each person's forearm is digitally stamped with a glowing green countdown clock, displaying the time they have left. Woman A can gift Man B 30 minutes, or a day, by a simple forearm handclasp.

How can we come to the point were in the future the meaning of life is simply based on how much time you can afford to live. It gets to the point where the meaning of life is being based on how wealthy you are, because the more money you have the more time you can afford to buy for your self to live longer in the years to come. In the movie there's a man who shortly committing suicide before he gave the gift of a century to one man. Literally ONE HUNDRED YEARS! Just imagine if all of us in the world have a century of time to live and to do what we will to do, knowing that we are guaranteed those 100 years no matter what.

Would we be greedy and try to steal other people's time, so that we would be able to live longer our selves and prosper from what we knowingly stole? I believe some of us would do that we live in a serious time of greed and will to take whats not ours so that it can benefit us, instead of the person whom it belongs to truly.

You live your life from start to finish with the time on your forearm, as a baby you are given 25 years to begin with. and thats all you get unless your are given time by others or if you are wealthy enough to buy your time or if your sneaky and greedy enough to steal and kill for more time which can be one of the biggest problems that happen to a society thats living like this, living by how much time you have. If we go on and make our life the way the people in this movie make there's then our future is looking like a dystopian society.
